Our newspaper reports, by Chang Huanfang and Shao Zhifang: Recently, the Bi 125-2H well, which was deployed in the eastern part of the Bi 125 fault block in Gucheng Oilfield, was successfully drilled. The well encountered good oil and gas indications, filling the technological gap in complex fault block thin-layer long horizontal drilling technology in Henan Oilfield and providing technical support for the beneficial development of complex fault block thin-layer reservoirs.

The target layer of this well is only 0.6 to 1.5 meters thick. The drilling trajectory spans two fault blocks and crosses three faults. There are only three well points within a radius of 300 meters, making it challenging to precisely design the drilling target points.

To ensure the reservoir encounter rate, Henan Oilfield adheres to the concept of "zero design error", continuously deepens basic geological research, insists on combining well and seismic data, and constantly optimizes the depth of drilling targets and precisely designs the direction of drilling trajectories, providing programmatic support for drilling construction. After the drilling enters the horizontal section, technical personnel are arranged to track the drilling process 24 hours a day and continuously optimize the drilling trajectory. The reservoir encounter rate of this well reaches 76.2%, laying a solid foundation for later development.
