Our newspaper news: Recently, the cementing operation of Jiaoye 9-12HF well in Jiaoshiba block of Fuling shale gas field was successfully completed, marking the first successful application of the composite saltwater-based drilling fluid system independently developed by Jianghan Petroleum Engineering Shale Gas Exploitation Technology Service Company in shale gas development.
Adhering to the concept of green and low-carbon development, the company established a research and development team for composite saltwater-based drilling fluid. Based on the characteristics of shale formations and complex drilling conditions, it successfully developed four key core additives: salt-resistant lubricant, lotion filtrate reducer, lotion coating agent, and lotion sealing agent. This led to the formation of a composite saltwater-based drilling fluid system, and a field application plan was formulated. After review and demonstration by experts from Jianghan Oilfield, it was determined to conduct the first field test at Jiao Ye 9-12HF well.
This well is a three-dimensional horizontal well with an ultra-large offset distance, posing significant construction risks and demanding a high-quality drilling fluid system. Jianghan Petroleum Engineering Company established a field application team, conducted over 70 performance evaluations and small-scale tests, and successfully tackled multiple technical challenges such as lost circulation and formation gas invasion. The team achieved one-trip drilling completion of the horizontal section and successfully performed well cementing.
The successful completion of this well verifies that the composite saltwater-based drilling fluid system possesses advantages such as strong inhibition, low friction coefficient, low solids control pressure, easy adjustment of flow pattern, easy maintenance of performance, environmental friendliness, and no odor, adding a new tool to the green development of shale gas.
